Channel 9 and Fox showed Aussies at the game. Where is the interest from the Americans? Plus the #NRLVegas games haven't even made the US ratings list.
they showed . people .. at the game
many with no jerseys on

how would anyone know where those people were from moron ?

So the games rated well in Australia, but they didn't rate in America? What does that tell you? lol. And all the people that channel 9 and Fox Sports interviewed were Aussies, and so we don't know what the Americans think of Thugby? All we know is that they think Thugby League, Thugby Union and AFL is all the same game.

the first NRL game ever played in the US rated as well as afl does in NSW & QLD , & the afl has had teams in those states for 42 years

what does that tell you ?

Yep, laughable tv ratings in America. The reported overwhelming success of this is so ridiculous.

To be honest - I don't think these are good rating given the population of the US. Are they for the whole of US or just Nevada or Las Vegas - as they are very very small.
Yep, tv ratings for all of the US market. Very small audience indeed.

ah no
wrong .. again !!
there are no streaming figures in yet for sat , could well be another 100K there

I'll take a guess & say the aflol won't attract much more then 200K viewers on TV to its 4 games in NSW & QLD this weekend
seriously , after 42 years how is that even possible ? :hmm:
    :(/ :(/

Thugby fans still think it was a hit when only 61 thousand Americans tuned into the game. A long way to go yet and a very slow burn for the nRL.

US TV ratings paint bleak picture for NRL’s Vegas round

Over 100,000 Americans immediately turned off when the NRL came on.

The NRL failed to generate big numbers in the lucrative American TV audience, but are still hailing the season-opening Las Vegas weekend a roaring success.

that article was written by another pissy pants fumbler jurno ( about the 50th written by this lot    )
all the facts , not some select ones from a derpball wanker

all of those 100K veiwers who turned off were based in the eastern time zone in the US
it was midnight after the college basketball finished in that timezone after it went into overtime
ofc everyone is turning off the tele & going to bed ... jesus  #-o

as for fitzsimmons
no one has cared what that red bandana wearing tossers opinion is for decades

nRL fans are talking like it is a success already. I think that they are crowing a little bit too early yet. There are people outside the stadium handing out free tickets just to get the crowd numbers up.
It has been way more successful than every single AFL overseas exhibition match attempt, even if it doesn't grow any more from here.

NRL played in Vegas is irrelevant to the average American sports fan.
This exhibition game was only to provoke interest in the Australian media, a left of field attention seeker.

generally speaking 99.9% of Americans didn't have any interest no , why would they
your 2nd point is valid
the NRL delivered .. a spectacular event ..it removed all competition for media here , sucked the air out of the room & it still hasn't returned.
the ratings in Australia were astonishing & will only be replicated by future matches in the USA
people are STILL talking about the games , or when their teams are playing & their desire to experience this once in a life time trip

the NRL showed everyone .. how you do it OS
they are the most switched on , up & about sport in our nation & the afl is rattled

Definitely I think it put a rocket up the AFL for sure. NRL dida great job of this.
