Wow! There's another article in todays Australian newspaper. It's title: "Foxtel and Seven in box seat for AFL as Ten's bid falters" lololol. It seems Ten's 'bid' was below the current deal of $473M a year that Seven/Fox pay lololol. Which means they were never really serious. Hilarious!!!! There is no competition. The $600M spruiked by Gilty was a lie loloolol!!!! How 'bout that beatup loolololol!!!
Seven and Fox have really got Gilty and the boyos bent over a barrel with their pants well and truly pulled down lololol. And they're about to inflict pain .........ouch lololololol!!!! No one else seriously wants to broadcast the mess. Which is not surprising when you see the dismal ratings on Fox. They're struggling to even match the current deal. And Seven and Fox want better scheduling terms.
This is a disaster for Gilty and fumblehouse. It's a total humiliation! A public relations catastrophe. An economic cliff fall. But most importantly.......it's very very funny lolololol. The chickens have come home to roost!!!! Oh how the mighty have fallen!!!

I remember News Ltd talking down potential bids in the past from rival broadcasters for the NRL, Super Rugby and the A-League too.

SEN reported this morning that all networks have submitted bids for the AFL with Channel 9 apparently bidding for more than just Thursday night footy. Also reported that all networks want a piece of Australia’s most popular sport even if rights are split between broadcasters.
Further, there is no rush for a deal either with current rights not due to end until 2024. If price is not to the AFL’s liking they can hold off. Probably more about Gill wanting to end his role on a high with a nice legacy and bonus. Interesting times ahead.

Hilarious beatup!! Just hilarious pal. Now that its all gone to shit you go to the "there is no rush" line lololololololol!!!!!!
Bottom line: Only 7/Fox are interested. Gilty told bald faced lies about a $600M 'bid' from 10/paramount. It never happened. They're now struggling to even match the last deal lolololol!!
This is a slow motion car crash all of their own doing. Incredibly funny stuff. Maybe now gilty and the boyos will realise lying is not beneficial in the big bad corporate world. This is what ya call karma. Ain't it bewdifooooool lololololololol!!!!!!!!!!

You know whats hilarious - watching the NRL fandom on this board and LU trying to justify one set of anoynmous sources that suit their worldview over other anonymous sources that dont.
Honestly its the funniest shit ever.
