They are so dumb, Beaussie, they don't know how to be embarrassed!

The NRL have long claimed superiority on payTV. Yet the moment AFL states actually start to get comparable subscription rates, and AFL matches are finally shown exclusively on payTV (not against FTA) they sweep in and win.
You're upset, we can see that, and so you should be. There's more of this to come, and you won't have your "but the regionals" bs to fall back on.
The same world of pain you yourself have created by claiming nothing will change!Raiderdave wrote:Xman wrote:Haha!

Yeah, the first time they've been on close to equal terms. Much more of this to come I'm afraid. Even the dodgy cumulative figures will heavily favor the AFL this year.Raiderdave wrote:Beaussie wrote:Again, NRL smashed by the AFL in the Pay TV ratings. scrapped to a tiny win .... once .... in 15 years

Equal as in evenly counted across the country, comparable subscription rates, and neither game was shown against another FTA game.Raiderdave wrote:Xman wrote:Yeah, the first time they've been on close to equal terms. There are also some interesting figures available for total channel share in each of the 5 city metro markets. The total metropolitan viewing for all TV channels (including those who don't have pay) shows that nationally Fox Footy had 1.6% of all viewing. The city figures were Sydney (0.5), Melbourne (2.6), Brisbane (1.3), Adelaide (1.9) and Perth (2.2) . Very good result for Brisbane I would think especially given the onfield weakness of the Lions and Suns.

Pay Tv
NRL game day ratings vs AFL game day ratings No contest.
NRL games averaging 300+k each per round on FOX compared to AFL averaging about 180k per game every round. =D> Last year AFL averaged 170k per game on Pay Tv, wow what a waste of money Mr Murdoch
