You can deflect all you like, but the NRL is rating like shit on Nine nationally on Saturday nights. has done for 3 weeks straight now.

You can bluster on all you want about anything else, but it doesnt change that.
FTA is not the NRL's strong point . In this case most people would even no it was on FTA. But how many less do you think the AFL game would have got if it hadn't been shown into 4 regions?
If FTA isn't the NRL's strong point then I think it has buckleys of getting a bigger broadcast deal than the AFL.
And whys that, given that PTV makes up a greater % of the broadcast contract of either code.

Because the FTA networks have more money to spend. Not to mention the requirements of the anti siphoning laws.

FOX has been outbidding sports (when they want to in Australia for the past 20 years.

(regarding in the NRL saturday FTA is not working (how can it)

for 20 rounds there is no FTA on Saturdays >> than all of a sudden bang FTA Saturday's

There is no traction>>> people are use to 20 rounds of FOX on Saturdays.

I think it is on par with a FTA network
remembering it has 4.8mill subscribers

channel 9 profit $213mill
Channel 7 profit 211mill
channel 10 profit 48mill

Fox is combined with news corp
so could not find a breakdown.

Just a point to be made in response. Profit does not equal revenue. There's a reason why FTA has more commercials (ABC not included of course) than PTV.
