THE Brisbane Lions can concentrate its contractual energies on re-signing elusive midfielder Luke Power after snaring the signature of match-winning AFL forward Jonathan Brown for another three seasons.

Brown was true to his word and put pen to paper late last week on a deal believed to worth about $2 million.

His commitment to the Lions kills off any hope Saturday's Gabba opponent Collingwood had of poaching him at the end of the season.

With Jonathan Brown worth $2 million and Akermanis' contract due for renewal, how much do you think Aker is worth? He's certainly been in fine form of late.

Brown supposedly took less than what he's worth though didnt he? Anyway in my opinion he's worth less than 1 mil. Brisbane have definitely wasted their money on that joker. Akermanis should get around 1.5 he's your run of the mill type player.
