It is when their crowd averages still exceed yours, Dave. And AFL's is way ahead of both of them!

AFL's used to be 3 times the NRL average only 15 years ago

this year it will be less then double
& this is even after a bitter civil war that nearly ended the game

And it will be 3 times again once the Suns and the Giants settle in. The only reason the NRL average is up is because of the only club that's actually getting it done at the gates. The Broncos.

nice use of figures there Dave. Yes the NRL dis accelerate after SL. But this has slowed now. In 4 years they increased 4k. In the last 11 they have only increase in average by 2k, so they have slowed substantially.

The AFL still maintain an advantage by approximately double despite aggressive expansion in to foreign markets.
King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.

And yet still behind the AFL for crowds and members on the Gold Coast and still behind RU in the ACT when it comes to crowds and members. Oh and sponsorship. lol
