will the most astounding round one record end tonight ?
Craig Bellamy has coached the Melbourne Storm for 21 seasons , since 2003.
he has ... NEVER... lost a round one match in this time
tonight hes going for 22 in a row.
This is his last year as coach of Melbourne, he has indicated he won't coach anyone else.
There is the possibility of him never losing a 1st round match , no coach prior has done anything like this , & I don't think anyone ever will either.
Standing in the way ?
the 3 time premiers.. in a row.. Panthers , appearing in the last 4 grand finals in a row , looking at 4 titles in a row in 5 grand finals in a row , if they do it'll be the first team to do this since St Georges run from 1956 to 1966
If anyone could end Bellamys 1st round run of wins .....
It will be the men in black , but the Storm will be hell bent ... hell bent on keeping Bellamys record intact.
AAMI park tonight
Epic encounter coming

I agree , although you'd get robust debate in RL circles with Wayne Bennett also a master with an extraordinary record as well. RL is blessed it has these 2 still coaching in this day & age
Remarkable moulders of young men.

He's right, there were also a lot more empty seats at the Swans game than the Knights game.
