NRL Struggles continue on Thursday nights..
8047 crowd.

the dead spots of Thursday night and 6pm Friday
are really hurting our overall figures..
AFL dont seem to have as big an issue with attending Thursday night
yeah you do... not as bad as the NRL though

yesterdays game for port attracted 26k well below what the normally get..

its hard to put in context (cause the NRL has a lot more Thursday night games than the AFL)

The NRL's biggest crowd problem is at Homebush. Brisbane, Melbourne, Warriors and the regional club crowds are good. Most Sydney suburban crowds, played at the right times, are also ok.

Homebush has been a disaster. They should only play the GF, SOO & a few other big drawing games there i.e. easter etc. As I"ve said I'm relying on Peter V'Landys to get the suburban grounds rejuvenated and take more games back there.

26k is a long way off 8k, especially when the game last night was wet

It's a stretch to compare these two NlolRL.
They were played across the road from each other, on the same night at the same time..........
And 10k, total fudge! It was no where near quarter full.

It's time the AFL get a new stadium in Sydney.
We've out grown the SCG.
And most of all.
We deserve it.

I agree. Terrible and outdated facilities at the SCG. Every time I went to bar I had to battle with massive queues. Oh and the poor ladies in snaking line ups to just go to the toilet is beyond ridiculous. The amount of game time missed in queues is unacceptable.

I had to double take when I saw that the Bellmore Sports ground only had three sides to view the game from.
Effectively cutting a quarter of the capacity of an already minute spectator area.
I've not seen this done before.

Just another nail in the coffin for the stadium deal.

a quarter full would mean there was 20k there as the ground fits 83k
