Travelling home ..lol a plane flight is what .an hr to Melb
About 1 1/2 to sadelaide .
About 5 to Perth .
& they can certainly afford a few flights home .
They're not on minimum wage
FFS .do you believe that tripe you write .
You fukkin CALLED it rental assistance, and so it seems do the afl so ah by that logic, I know you are 'called' nlolrl but it is more than reasonable I call you NUMNUTS
Seriously dude if it's called rental assistance then what the fukk is it for? Since I smashed the idea that afl players need additional money to pay the rent you've topsy turveyed on us and said it's for the higher cost of living ...errrm 'fraid to say blacktown/greater western Sydney is much much cheaper than all the suburbs playing in ur inner city Melbourne clubs! And it's also cheaper to live in gws than it is in Perth so you can take that stinking story walking as well pal!
Lastly, yes ur and the afls last desperate excuse is the old bleeding heart mummy and daddy dearest story the young draftees, with pockets stuffed full of cash, the city of Sydney at their whim, beaches babes nightclubs galore, yes these young successful fit men will be desperately missing and in need of their mummies and daddies
What a fukkin crock of shit! Shut ur trap, we've smashed you and swines in this thread from pillar to post!
Once again, the afl is shown up for what it is, a corrupted organisation, lying to the footy fan public through their greed to expand.... AT ALL COSTS.
I gotta say it again... Mummies and daddies

Teams have off days .
They have been highly successful for well over a decade .
& that is what Cola was for .
To keep them up top .
A winning team .
Playing finals football most years ( in the last 12 or so)
To keep the fans they have
Attract new ones .
& while the afl is doing that ....fairness .is out the door .
Gone
&
No team no matter how good they are no team wins all the time .

if salary cap was the only factor youd have a point, but it isnt. The swans have disadvantages other AFL clubs dont have, as has already been discussedAFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2018 10:29 pmTeams have off days .

Oh Jesus
All teams in non heartland areas in sports have disadvantages .
Yet afl is the only sport to rig the salary cap to ensure success .
Other teams in other sports have to FAIRLY compete with every other team on field .
No one gets any on field advantages
Yet this is acceptable in afl .
It's no problem that one team get extra.Money.
How the fuck fans of bottom dwelling teams can accept this is work for the de programming specialists .
Yet here we have fumblefans arguing that it's all ok ..there's reasons.
Jesus
Talk about not accepting reality .

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR THE SWANS!
maybe the AFL is the only sport to attempt to even up the disadvantages experienced by non-heartland clubs. They learned their lesson with the Brisbane bears. If the Storm werent so dominant the NRL would know what it's like for an expansion club to be grossly disadvantaged.AFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 9:23 amOh Jesus

I'd much rather be an AFL fan and see the swans competitive despite their disadvantages than an NRL fan with the Storm making the GF almost every second year. 8 times in 20 years compared to the Swans 6 in the last 70 years

Lol
Self ownage at its finest
You get one unco point for trying
Your rant about Melb storm shows that there is NO FUCKING NEED FOR the bosses of a comp to rig it .
MElb are successful on field due to great coaching ..great recruiting .
They have a habit of taking ordinary first graders & turning them into very good players .
They get the same $$$$$ to spend on players as every other team .
The difference is what I have already listed .
Off field they've had problems
Onfield they got done for salary cap breaches ..paid dearly .
Yet still are successful .
Hence proving there is no need to RIG/COMPROMISE the comp .
Especially after 30 years in SYD ..the last 10-12 very successful
Especially after the continued boast about crowds & members
Especially after the claims of THE BIGGEST CLUB IN SYD .
How can you justify the rorts when melb is successful without them .
Lol you're praising the storm for being successful..& doing it without any of the cheating that Syd get to do .
Oh my
Thanks for coming

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR THE SWANS!
it shows theres far far more to success than a 10% increase in salary cap which only applies to below average players now anyway. Here's what happens in the AFL at the moment: a kid is recruited to an interstate club and takes 3-4 years to develop into a regular senior player. Just before he gets there he decides he wants to return to his home state. The rental assistance is an incentive for him to stay the course during his development. By the time he become a better than average player and a regular in the AFL his income is above average and he no longer qualifies for rental assistance. So there is little to no benefit to on field performance, it merely balances out the draw for interstate kids to return home before theyve given something back to the club.AFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 10:02 amLol

Our comp has been more even than yours over the last 15 years because we havent had a single side dominate. A side which up until the last few years had very poor local support despite their huge success.

Your comp has been no where near as even as ours the last 15 years .

So leave that deflective shit for another argument .

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR THE SWANS!
Why do the Storm get extra money that other NRL clubs don’t? Is it to ensure their continual on field success and premierships in the hope they may one day be relevant to your average Victorian perhaps?AFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 9:23 amOh Jesus

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR THE SWANS!
So afl fans, can anyone tell me the afls reasoning behind calling this policy ... Rental assistance?
Especially when western Syd rent is so so so so soooo much cheaper than Perth or Richmond, or Collingwood or north Melbourne or stkilda or Melbourne or Hawthorne or prob friggin Geelong too and what's with the reasoning for rental assistance to all players under 300k ? Someone on anything above 80k should have no probs whatsoever paying the rent in Sydney's most sought after eastern suburbs.
I'll assume no answer to these questions means you know the policy is as dodgy as it gets.
