Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
This thread ain't about some dweeb who can come on for 10seconds and kick a ball a long way. This thread ain't about how a team of athletes win a Super Bowl for some Aussie guy who doesn't contribute other than stepping back, having someone hold the ball, and, while under little or no pressure runs up and kicks the ball. That as we would all agree is utterly utterly utterly boring shit wookie. Utterly.
No this thread is about athleticism, about watching how athletes compete and physically match up against each other. It's bout recognition for that.
Don't tell me you think this thread is about coming on for 45seconds in a match wookie?
Ur becoming a bit like cos wookie.
And sing it with me now everyone! =D>
"Wiiiith a deflect deflect here and a deflect deflect there, we do the wookie wookie and we turn around, that's what it's alllll about!"

This thread is about athleticism wookie. It's not about whether hayne succeeds on the NFL fields or not, it's about which code afl vs nrl produces the better athletes ffs. Jesus wookie, read the op again you deflecting wookie wookie

Oh dear wookster, you may as well throw in the towel now bro. It's just gunna get messy from here and yore already wobblin in the ring like a drunkard.The_Wookie wrote:One guys comment about his athleticsm doesnt mean h'es a better athlete - or even a better NFL player.
I don't wanna hurt you more.
Fyi. It's not "one guy" over there commenting on Haynes athleticism. There's been several already. And if you think that there's even the slightest chance that hayne is a less rounded athlete than the 'punters' your mob put forward to the NFL then you're officially the love child of cos and leagueiscrap.
Seriously wookie, throw in the towel bro. I don't wanna see you go down like this.

his attempted punches are getting weaker and weaker.The_Wookie wrote:Waiting for him to actually play a game, v guys who have played and won superbowls.
I'll countr with the same jab hook combo I knocked you down with earlier. This thread has not once been about whether hayne makes it. Not once. It's been about recognition of athleticism. Your deflection is clumsy, disoriented and lazy wookie. You've really sucked in this thread, no defense, no attack just copping punches right left and centre.
Bam!
Throw in the towel wookie. Leave my thread before you embarrass yourself any more. I don't like taking you down in the state ur in at the mo bro.

The_Wookie wrote:Thankfully, the AFL has had played in the NFL - despite apparently not having the physique to do so. 15 Australian Football players went over to the NFL before you guys even thought of it. 7 of them getting actual game time.

Ok fair enough wooks you are right with that post.
But generally I think NRL players are better suited to NFL as there are far more similarities.
Try and Touchdown area same.
Conversion kicks similar.
Tackling Style similar.
Field dimensions similar.
Goals virtually the same in dimensions.
Both codes are more weight training focused than AFL too.

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
Actually you are completely wrong. Canada has a professional Grid Iron league too.docker24 wrote:Well where they both are rarely played and involved outside their home countries they are.
So unlike AFL which is only has a league in one country. Even Gridiron is played profesionally other nations.
CFL Canadian Football League (Gridiron)
http://www.cfl.ca
Canadas WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS had operating profits of 3.9 million last year. Grid Iron is healthier outside of the USA than AFL ever could be out of Australia.

Poor AFL, will always be the one nation code.

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
There are variants in the two codes but both sports are technically Grid Iron.The_Wookie wrote:Canadian Football, while similar, could be a considered a variation of American football, its not the same.

In some ways, this is like saying League and Union are the same sport.
Actually USA and Canada used to play each other before the Standard of the NFL became too high for the CFL to compete with.

But at the end of the day Grid Iron is played seriously in two countries while Aussie Rules is only played seriously in Australia.The_Wookie wrote:Change that to the financial standard - the CFL used to routinely take players from America until the massive NFL tv deals meant player salaries skyrocketed and the CFL could no longer compete.AFLsforPussies wrote:There are variants in the two codes but both sports are technically Grid Iron.The_Wookie wrote:Canadian Football, while similar, could be a considered a variation of American football, its not the same.

What Canada play is definitely called Grid Iron.

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
Well it is news to AFL fans like you and Dockers.The_Wookie wrote:But you say this like its news. Despite pointing out that the AFL has little to no interest in becoming a full fledged professional sport elsewhere. The AFL wants ALL the talent to come here, which is why for all the money it spends in combines around the world, it spends little on the game itself around the world.
So many of you AFL fans say that Grid Iron is only played in America just like AFL only being played in Australia.
You were both wrong.
I showed you the evidence that the Grid Iron actually is played professionally in Canada.
http://www.cfl.ca
So Aussie Rules really is one of the only single nation football codes.

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
Yeah I guess if you call expats playing AFL with it's few hundred followers in other nations then AFL is international.
Come on Wookie just admit it mate.. AFL or Aussie Rules has nothing in another country like Grid Iron has in Canada or Rugby League has in England.
There are no sponsored or televised competions for AFL outside Australia.
This clearly shows AFL does not have any serious support in another country.
So AFL being called a one nation code is totally accurate.

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
Let's just sum this down shall we , Jarred Hayne, aka Hayne train aka Hayne plane who ran rings around people in the NRL, has received a positive comment and you create a thread, with "lols they don't say that about AFL players" you're really try hard for anything aren't you. Desperate much. Hayne who was one of the fittest and fastest league player, would still struggle to match with B graders from american football.

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
Hayne is past his best, but at the end of the day I am certain most NRL players would do better in NFL than AFL players.
So many more similarities in Rugby League and Grid Iron than AFL has to Grid Iron.

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/leag ... mivh7.htmlSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick said he has been amazed by the athleticism of former NRL superstar Jarryd Hayne in the formative stages of his bid to secure a berth on the famous NFL team's roster.
"Phenomenal athlete. Just a natural," Kaepernick said of Hayne. "Since the day I met him, since every workout he's been at, he's going to give you everything he has. And it doesn't seem like there's going to be much of a learning curve for him."
While it is expected the 49ers will ease Hayne into the NFL on special teams, perhaps as a punt returner, he's been listed on San Francisco's roster as a running back. Kaepernick said it was crucial that Hayne play in the position that will showcase the athleticism that made him a hit with the Parramatta Eels.
"This is going to be a football player," he said. "He does a lot of things very well and it's going to be our job to be able to utilize him and put him in position to allow him to make plays and use that athleticism."
The debate over which code produces the more athletic individuals is OVER mah biatches
It was over from the very first time I brought it up. There's simply no denying it. NRL players are faster, stronger, more powerful, more agile, bigger just overall more impressive athletes than afl trotters.
I hope you's don't mind if I rub ur noses in it time and time and time again
Ok not one fumbler in here could answer the thread title question so i'll ask another question.
Has any of the afl punteroonos who've made the nfl been able to show the athleticism Hayne shows in this run?

Lol .
You won't get an answer KE .
Most fumblers have gone MIA since the FTA TV deal for The NRL was announced .
Haynes performance will keep them quiet for a long time .

Re: Did they ever say this about the AFL players
Hehe they all know few AFL players have explosive speed off the mark that Hayne has. Are plenty of other players that have played NRL or still play that could do just as well as Hayne too.King-Eliagh wrote:King-Eliagh wrote:You know, those chumps who came on in the nfl for a total of 2 mins a match to put their boot on a ball and kick it?

Sonny Bill Williams, Roger Tuivasa-Shek, Greg Inglis (who AFL attempted to pinch with no success), Shaun Johnson etc..
Most AFL players are too long and gangly and more suited to distance running. They are just not built for high impact tackles in Grid Iron and Rugby League.
