total STV audience for the AFL last night was well over 300k, plus it was on FTA.

I have no idea what you're on about with Fremantle, theyre bigger than most NRL clubs

Looks like another big Friday night win for the AFL over the NRL in the tv ratings

The AFL's poor TV ratings for the year are continuing. Here's what Dean Rosario has reported:

"Given many only judge sports on TV ratings & AFL is benchmark in AUS, this is interesting.
YoY (20% season played)
PayTV: DOWN 13%
FTA TV 5 city (mainly FRI when 1 match broadcast all 5 cities): DOWN 15%".

So down 13% & 15%. It's the same as the Aleague dropped at the same time of the season. Some of the AFL's drop would be due to the Comm games although the NRL didn't have anywhere near the drop off the fumblers had.

Interestingly Wookie didn't post any summary of the respective rounds that coincided with week 2 of the Comm games. (Not that I could find on Footyindustry anyway). By my calculations the AFL had a massive drop getting toward 2M whilst the NRL dropped about 500K.

Maybe he was just too busy lolololol.

Yep. A certain 'expert' around these parts predicted a HUGE drop in RL ratings for this year and a rise or stay steady for the fumblers. It seems he wasn't just wrong because in fact the exact opposite of what he said has happened lolololololololol. I'd call that a fail.
