And Terry's AFL total is correct. That means the AFL averaged significantly more per game than the NRL despite having NO multiple games shown TARGETING MULTIPLE MARKETS.

Clear evidence the AFL averages far more under similar scheduling conditions
You win one round. One of the first in donkey years and it clear evidence

Naturally your going to get more on Sunday. You've played 2 or 3 games for years. Then all of a Sudden they've got just 1match to chose from . Was it Crystal clear on Saturday when we won 2 STV games very comfortably.

Another thing I noticed, you try to make out that Melbourne is not just a cult, rather a sports mad city .Yet There was 100k more Sydney siders watching the Socceroos game, than Melbournians.
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

The suns v saints game on Saturday, between bottom 4 teams, rated over 220k and wasnt even in prime time. This is vastly different result to similar games on previous weeks. Why? It was exclusive to fox and shown in isolation.

The Tigers v cats game yesterday arvo was hardly match of the year yet rated far higher on Fox than any AFL game this year. In fact it may be the highest rating game for the year for both codes. Why? Because it was shown in isolation and was exclusive to foxtel.

The Hawks v Crows game on Saturday night was simulcast on FTA and fox and therefore rated far lower on fox.

These games buck the trend of ratings for the entire year so of course they are significant! Showing games in isolation, and showing games exclusively on Fox produces higher ratings PER GAME, which is what the NRL do every single week, and the AFL rarely do. This is why PER GAME the NRL rates more, because they never show games concurrently, and show 5 games per round on fox exclusively. When the AFL do this, playing games that are no more interesting than other rounds, the AFL come out on top PER GAME by quite a distance.

You think this astounding turnaround is some kind of fluke?

Afl people would have regarded the st Kilda match as a thriller .Only viewed in Brisbane . Yet well below the NRL game at the same time between top of the table Saints and bottom of the table Manly. And As for the later game , matches being simulcast makes less than 20k difference, certainly not 100k!

'Astounding turnaround'   cultists having less games to get there fix.

Our Saturday games on fox are regularly 150k and less. Suns games are often less than 100k. Yet suddenly they rate 220k.

You dont think that tells the story?

What about tigers v cats rating 364k? Nothing interesting?

Talk about sticking your head in the sand

That's not the point. The point is a match that would typically rate 60-150k if scheduled against another fox game, and simulcast on FTA, rated very well for such a poor matchup.

Good news for the Australian Fumbling League. Last nights game will only be down about 130K on the corresponding game last year. That is a great result for the faltering code that has leaked 300k+ viewers in single games many times over the season compared to last year.

This is not so much a reversal of form as a slight slowing down in this season of discontent lololol!!! Last years Friday night game rated 1.14M so I suspect there is more pain to come. Lets hope Gilty & the boys are madly brainstorming massive changes to the mess to make it in some way attractive. Good luck Gilty lololol!!!!

Incorrect pal. R14 Thurs 22 June 2017 Crows V Hawks. Research is your friend!!!

And it must be worrying that any time there is anything mildly interesting on other channels the fumbling faithful turn over quicker than an AFL executive can chase a female staffer around HQ lololololol!!!!!!!

Oh, so you're comparing games between different teams? Hardly a useful comparison given different teams produce different ratings.

Oh and for the world cup to get an audience well over 1mil the audience has to come from somewhere

You're incredible pal!!!! And not in a good way lololololo!!!!!! You're sounding like that dill Fred who took off to the jungle.

You set comparison 'rules' that are knowingly unworkable to hide your codes dismal performance this year. Of course you change the rules to manufacture a win for the AFL when it suits. Laughable really!!!!!
