Re: Surely fumblers .............. surely
I think Geelong playing will see a lot more Victorians watching than a north melbourne would get but can't see it being a big rating game in south australia and Western Australia. And given we don't get figures for Darwin then that will also impact - same with Tassie.
I don't suspect the women's SoO will rate well outside NSW and QLD - probably less so than the NRL home and away does - which is very low in Vic as it is and pretty non-existent in S.A and W.A.
In saying that we do not seem to be getting any pay TV ratings anyway - and are left to guess or estimate - so the whole ratings things, as Terry pointed out at start of year, is a bit of a mess and somewhat meaningless - not that I follow them as much as others here anyway.
I guess the question is -will the WSoO rate well in NSW and QLD? If it is a lead up game to an NRL match it may well do - but if stand alone - it will be interesting to see.

I’m watching the suns v Geelong game and it’s a shocker / close but ordinary in that the ball is so wet (31 degrees) the skills are terrible - truely a fumble game tonight lol.

I thought you were saying the Women's game won the ratings .... or that people in NSW and QLD were preferring to watch the women's game as if this was already the case being shown that is all.

Good win - but the quality of football wasn't great I thought. Good crowd though - all seats sold.

Re: Surely fumblers .............. surely
are you seriously suggesting they wouldn't ?
that fumbling mess from Darwin last night would have rated like a turd milkshake in NSW the ACT & QLD ...
I'd suggest there won't be any fumbling game played this year that will outrate last nights womens game of RL in those same states , & that is as embarrassing as it gets for the self anointed " national " game "

No - not seriously suggesting anything - was just wondering as seemed (or I thought) you were saying it as fact - that is - figures in, but get what you are saying now.
And yes, it will be interesting to see how the women's game rates in NSW and QLD. Was it on in the AFL states?

some women running around last night playing RL have obliterated them , destroyed them .... shit mixed them for interest in
NSW , the ACT & QLD

I think what the CEO says is probably more spin. There is no doubt Aussie Rules has a decent base - particularly on the Gold coast and in Brisbane - but from where I view it, RL is still by far the dominant code by a long run - sure, the AFL have made some inroads - from no team to two - and there are plenty of competitions and leagues indicating a strong base of support at least - but is no where where NRL is that is for sure. I would suspect the NRL would love to have the presence in non-traditional heartlands that Aussie Rules has though - but aussie rules has a long history in QLD at least so was always a base.
