actually youve never posted anything to my satisfaction, you've shown that there are some annual games and a couple of annual tournaments here and there.
And so IR DOES exist as a bridge between amateur AFCs and GAA clubs.

And I did state there was a difference of opinion on the use of the word "huge" and where you made a comparison.
I made the comparison between amateur and professional games NOT between the general level of competition.
As stated before, the importance of these games is to create mutual interest in the two codes to launch the football season.

crapper look at this FFS.
The last time I posted links you complained of spamming.
I have posted links before . wookie has seen them and complained about the volume.
I don't have to bow to any trolls wishes.
Nice try Cos.

I am not a troll.
You made a claim ,& despite trying to get Wookie to back you up,& failing, you still have only produced one source from 8 yrs ago

You have Ignored & deflected.
Simply put, if I make a claim about something ,I post a source ,so that I can retain credibility.
YOu cant post a source that backs up your HUGE claim.
Now why would that be.
Is it because the HUGE amount of games doesn't happen.
That's where my bet would be..

& I have asked nicely many times for a source.
I have not sworn or carried on like this is TFC.
I ask for proof of a claim,
& im still waiting.

Just for you crapper I'm going to post every piece of "proof".
I take it it you have wookie's permission to demand such a volume of proof because he got upset last time (different site though)
How many examples would be sufficient for you?

IR in Sweden

Post by cos789 »

Malmö, Sweden: 23 October 2010 saw the inaugural International Rules Test between Malmö Gaelic Football team (2009 Scandinavian Champions) & Aussie Rules side The Port Malmö Maulers (2009 DAFL Champions). The game was played in great spirit despite the cold damp conditions at Limhamnsfältet where the GAA boys and Maulers share the pitch. The Gaelic Footballers of Malmö GAA Club ended up winners on a scoreline of: Malmö GAA Club 5:6:7 = 55 pts Port Malmo Maulers 1:5:9 = 30 pts

On two sides of the world over the past fortnight, some significant Aussie Rules and GAA clubs competed against each other in International Rules. In Gaelic football-playing and Gaelic-speaking Gweedore in Donegal, north-western Ireland, the West London Wildcats Aussie Rules football club, the biggest of the BARFL clubs, played CLG Ghaoth Dobhair, one of the best Gaelic Football clubs in all Ireland. Meanwhile far from the cool mists of Donegal in a steamy hot Sydney a 12 team International Rules tournament was played out by 6 Sydney AFL clubs and 6 Sydney GAA clubs.Another website ruined by wookie features

IR in Dubai

Post by cos789 »

Since the year 2000, an annual International Rules series has been contested between the Australian Wombats (AFL Masters representative squad) and a team from the GAA Masters competition. This year’s match will be held in a few weeks in Ireland. En route to Ireland, the Australian team, which includes former AFL players, will spend a night in Dubai and attend AFL International Masters Sportsman’s Night 2009, a fundraiser for AFL Middle East. The function will take place of 21 October 2009; tickets are still available but need to be pre-purchased. For further details contact cameron [at] aflmiddleeast [dot] com.Another website ruined by wookie features

iR in Cayman Islands

Post by cos789 »

For many Aussies living in the Cayman Islands, ANZAC Day was spent preparing for the much anticipated re-match of the International Rules series against the Irish. The Irish had earlier denied the Australian requests to play full Aussie Rules for fear of injury and were full of confidence given their recent St. Patrick’s Day victory and superior skills with the round ball. While some of the Australian team play in the local Gaelic football league, for many the St. Patrick’s Day game was their first exposure to International Rules. This was clearly evident on that day with errant kicking for goal costing the Australians dearly.Another website ruined by wookie features

Keep it in one thread. We don't need ten international Aussie rules threads.

After two thrilling draws, Australia defeated Ireland 2.6.15 (45) to 1.6.6 (30) in the deciding Test in Fremantle on 19th April 2006. It was the first series win to Australia in 4 years after Ireland had won in 03, 04 and 05.Another website ruined by wookie features

As described by the Irish national broadcaster, RTE, this year's under-17 series has been a "super advertisement for International Rules football" with the Irish and Australian lads fighting out two draws in 4 days. Ireland's ability to find the net has kept them in it despite Australia's greater number of "overs". But in other less positive news Brisbane's Irish recruit has begun to feel the pull of home, and the seniors International Rules series looks like being scaled back.Another website ruined by wookie features

As we reported in Footy in the Cayman Islands, Australian Football is now periodically played on the island, and in 2006 the compromise rules game combing Gaelic and Australian Football was successfully introduced.Another website ruined by wookie features

International Rules tours have been played at Under 17 AFL/GAA level back to 1981. However this month an under 23 Australian Amateur Football Council team completed its first tour of the Emerald Isle. The u23 Amateurs played 4 matches against an array of Irish teams from Club to a University rep side, Banks-Army team to the All Ireland team itself.Another website ruined by wookie features
