Very good analysis Wookie looks like Suns are clearly the leading expansion franchise on the following they have!

It's not surprising, Swans. A lot of the interest in the Suns comes from Gary Ablett Jnr. That was always going to be a big plus for them. West Sydney have a good list, but there are no absolute stars there - at least not yet. Hopefully one of their youngsters breaks out and makes a big splash, getting the sort of attention that would make the Sydney media stand up and pay attention.

Well, as we all know the wise old clubs threw the spanner in the works and signed up all their stars so they were unpoachable.The_Wookie wrote:they'd have been much better off not paching from league and spending that money throwing the farm at an established star.
IMO, because that's what we're talking here, Buddy at GWS would not have worked well because unlike Ablett Buddy is dependent on down field supply.
Nice try Cos.

And you'd have to expect to throw some money at marketing at the launch of each new team.Fred wrote:Got to remember that most money for hunt and falou came from afl as marketing

Yes, and let's not forget hunt, at his best, was a good footballer who held his own ... Just couldn't sustain it.
