Whilst it is still early days, it's great to see the budget does not seem to be changing peoples views and the latest polls show a bounce in popularity for the Labor party and Rudd as preferred PM. Hope it lasts. Changes to IR laws appear to have a lot of Australian people very worried.

For example, Beau;

"Destroy volunteer organisations by making employers able to make people work whenever they damn well feel like it (today one of my gymnasts was telephoned at school and told to go to work or she would lose her job, and she had to leave school at lunch-time to work...);"

That's a quote from the blog of a friend of mine. Makes the ACTU commercial look all too real!

Health care is an election issue, that's why. But now we move on.

So we should be, Yeenar!

I happen to think that what's happening now with the Aborigines in NT and the response is overdue. At least 11 years overdue!

it is interesting that it has taken so long to act and pardon me if I am somewhatparanoid at the motivation and the implimentationof this policy

Where are the "one nation mob now ? right

the issue is that it is something that should be addressed to ALL Australians

my thoughts on this is that it stems from the earlier atrocities imposed by the early settlers and has since become a visious cycle for many children in this country of many cultural backgrounds

Now that the major and minor parties have released most of their policies, has anyone been swayed to vote differently?

Don't Blame Me, I voted for Howard.

I hope you all have your finances secure, and your home loans under control.
Already we are seeing industrial action from different unions, and excpect them to cause much more disruptions. The Unions are back. Home loans are set rise, as will unemployment. Bosses just wont hire as many people if the IR laws are scrapped. :evil:
