Disabilities Minister Stephen Dawson said the word appeared on social media every five seconds and was used casually and unthinkingly by people every day.

"The R word is insulting and disrespectful — not just to people with disability but also to their families, friends and carers," he said.

"It's never OK to use the R word — not in humour or frustration.
"People should stop and think about whether they would use the word on someone they love before they direct it towards somebody else."

Back to the topic!

Sport ol chap, after smashing you with three forms of quantitative data, I now would like to move to more qualitative data.

Could you and any members following along please do the following.

Google AFL lopsided competition.
Here’s a bunch of results I found on page 1!

https://thenewdaily.com.au/sport/afl/20 ... -connolly/

It was certainly a lopsided weekend, with six of nine games decided by 47 points or more and seven teams unable to manage any more than nine goals.

As of currently this round is going one way and one way only. The lowest winning margin was 34 points and Essendon dominated Cats the exact same as last year.

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/collin ... l-in-2011/

After seeing his players trounce Port Adelaide by 138 points, Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse used the post-match press conference to raise his own fears for the lopsided AFL competition.

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/more-lopsi ... 1ihkg.html

There have been nine 100-point-plus blowouts so far this season and, statistically, the chasm between top and bottom teams has never been more yawning.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/e ... ews-story/

Splitting AFL into two divisions would make for a more exciting competition, writes Mick Malthouse ... With so much at stake, in a more balanced pool, there'll be far fewer lopsided results.

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl ... 27p4r.html

'If their results on field continue to increasingly mirror their bank balances then we have a very big problem.''

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-08-08/m ... ly/2828674

AFL football operations boss Adrian Anderson said such one-sided results were likely to continue next year

Critics point to the new clubs further diluting football's talent poo

Jesus! Even I didn’t expect it’d be that bad :(/

Fukk eh, got any words for us now sport ol chap? Any - No no no, I say it ain’t so? :\:

Oh yeah and since you’re into trying to say the nrl comp is more lopsided, please, e my guest and enter “NRL lopsided competition” into google and please provide your relevant first page of entries  there’s a lad

Pissing down, from a mammoth height

I’m really a solutions man and was sad to find very few solutions within my long list of worrisome articles documenting the serious lopsided ness of the afl. But there was one definite one.

Split the comp into two divisions. A great solution to fix the competition. Heck if they did that I’ll be honest, I’d be heaps more interested to spend some doch on getting to a few extra games knowing my chances of seeing a contest would be increased.

What do others think? :)

Nice stories.
Most seem to be discussing score disparity within a few games here and there to label it lopsided, interesting.
Few old ones there too I noticed.
History does give a good insight.
It seems the AFL has been lopsided for a while.
Let's have a look back.
Using for and against percentage.
Looking at teams ability to score (the measure your stories discussed) against the rest of the teams within their respective comps over the course of a season.
Imo, the most accurate representation of how lopsided a comp is.

Last year 2017
AFL'S poorest scoring team: 74.3%
AFL'S highest scoring team: 136%
AFL'S best are 83% better scorers. Dog shit!
NRL'S poorest scoring team: 66%
NRL'S highest scoring team: 188.4%
NRL'S best are 185.5% better scorers.
SHITTER THAN DOG SHIT!

2016
AFL'S poorest scoring team: 61%
AFL'S highest scoring team: 151.2%
AFL'S best are 147.9% better scorers. Dog shit!
NRL'S poorest scoring team: 38.1%
NRL'S highest scoring team: 186.4%
NRL'S best are 389.2% better scorers.
SHITTER THAN DOG SHIT!

2015
AFL'S poorest scoring team: 64.8%
AFL'S highest scoring team: 158.4%
AFL'S best are 144.4% better scorers. Dog shit!
NRL'S poorest scoring team: 69%
NRL'S highest scoring team: 197%
NRL'S best are 185.5% better scorers.
SHITTER THAN DOG SHIT!

2014
AFL'S poorest scoring team: 60.8%
AFL'S highest scoring team: 142.9%
AFL'S best are 135% better scorers. Dog shit!
NRL'S poorest scoring team: 54.8%
NRL'S highest scoring team: 158.7%
NRL'S best are 189% better scorers.
SHITTER THAN DOG SHIT!

2013
AFL'S poorest scoring team: 51%
AFL'S highest scoring team: 135%
AFL'S best are 166% better scorers. Dog shit!
NRL'S poorest scoring team: 42.8%
NRL'S highest scoring team: 196.9%
NRL'S best are 360% better scorers.
SHITTER THAN DOG SHIT!

With no defence coming for SOO or ARL (for good reason) and this data proving the NRL is consistently more lopsided year after year after year than the AFL there is no other conclusion.

Rugby league as a code in this country is SHITTER THAN DOG SHIT!

So KE, lookout, the AFL just pinched one off from the top of the deep deep hole you're taking a piss in.

You will probably enjoy the impending "Cleveland steamer" considering your fetish with golden showers.

No unfortunately ol sport is struggling big time. I've provided multiple different data sets that highlight the afl has issues with and is more lopsided than the NRL.

In response he is spending much time looking at only top versus bottom teams percentages effectively assessing only 2teams and comparing codes which have vastly different scoring opportunities

And then he's also decided call me ********. It's really dillbrained stuff coming from, once more, the species following the afl.

Pickup yer game ol sport

AFTER a string of Friday night fizzers — and fears of another this week — the game’s major broadcasters are worried.

What's going on with the afl sport? You've been eerily quiet of late matey. You ok?

Bump.
With six teams in a serious battle for 7th and 8th on the ladder.
The AFL is building nicely.

The same can't be said for the hapless NRlilL.
Top eight decided.
Front ending the draw will really start to take its toll moving forward.
It already has imo.

Errrm why do you need to straight up lie to us all sport ol chap?

I mean, the NRL comp top 8 is decided? You do know that traditionally teams need between 24-32 points to have a chance at making the 8? That leaves the NRL with atleast 6 teams still in contention.

I know you're probably upset at the mammoth belting I gave you above re the afl being lopsided but do you really need to just lie like that?

You sound quit insecure bud.

You are kidding yourself!
Mammoth belting..... It seems your understanding of this relative simple saying is skewed.
Your consistent inability to accept directly relevant data continues to highlight how deep your head is in the sand.
You're as bad as crap not accepting the AFL rates way higher than the NRlilL.
#headinsandsyndrome

Your top eight is done and dusted.
But I will keep an eye on it for you if you'd like.
Any change to either I'll post it here. K pal!
