Pal, I take every media story on it's merits. I look for sources, background and context. In the past I have blasted NRL & club management & player misconduct when justified.
Strangely enough just when the NRL seems to be getting itself in order the AFL have multiple bad news stories circulating this year. Strange days indeed mama, most peculiar now!!!!

Has the novelty of the China game worn off?
LAST year everything about the China game was shiny and new and there were many questions needing answers, including whether anybody in China will care about the game. But this year, it feels like it’s just another match but with a longer plane trip.
There seems to be an attitude reversal about the AFL's move into China
This game will be AFL propaganda 101. They will announce a sell-out crowd no matter what the actual crowd is. Which in any case is no big deal as the ground only holds 10k in a city of 25M.
In the coming days they will then announce the biggest tv ratings in AFL history. They will of course have no credible sources or actual numbers to verify the claim.
Everyone will say what a raving success the game was and how much the 'Chinese' loved it. Then during the off season we will find out the true details of the game and it will be announced they won't be returning in the 'short term'. You read it here first.

A smart businessman in China could make a fortune if he set up 2 tents out the back .
Food in one ...there's a guaranteed 5 k customers with no interest whatsoever in the game .
& a second one selling Bananas to the racist AUST afl fans who will have a few extra NON whitey targets to hurl their bananas at.
It's a win win for a smart businessman .

Our game has teams in pro or semi pro comps In many different countries .
With games played in many different countries .
You get one unco point for missing

Pretty sure there is a much better atmosphere with Rugby League matches in Canada than anything AFL will serve up in China

Well, well, well!!!! This must be the most spectacular fail in AFL history. The ground is half full at best.....yet they proclaimed a sell-out weeks ago. And the TV commentators are still saying it's a 10k sell-out lolololololololololol.
