The main cause for lower scoring is increased defensive strategies like zoning, which is limiting the number of set shots at goal. Therefore far more scoring attempts are during play under pressure

if you had heard the commentary you would have noticed how critical and surprised the commentators were. The miss was poor, but unusual. As you've been told, one or two cases means nothing in the greater scheme of things. The average AFL pass is very accurate

LOL,
I'm afraid our northern counterpart considers two seperate occasions, both of which were in games where stacks of goals were scored constitutes a definitive argument.

1 miss and at least 20 goals in one of those matches, you do the math.
Even if they missed five that's still 75% hitting the mark.

And when confronted with tangible data completely dispelling his totally piss poor attempt to rubbish the AFL all he manages is a regurgitation.
It ain't pretty, I know.

But without this deep seeded belief that these 2, yes 2 shit kicks represents every kick in a game of AFL I'm afraid his mental stability can't be guaranteed moving forward.

Data doesn't lie Crap.
3 out of 4 hit the target on average. Higher from the gun players.

Oh, and a bit of trivia for ya Crap!
Your games most prolific kickers career accuracy runs at pretty much the same rate.
That's right.
Your very best only rates almost the same as an AFL team average for hitting the target.
Your very best!
Where's that leave the rest......?

Lol

There's that many hat racks on the field running around like blind mice that one player kicks to anywhere on the field & there will be someone in the vicinity to run & catch ...lol or try to catch...oooops .ive fumbled it .

So no .
It's not laser accuracy ..it's just that there's not too many areas ..hardly any that don't have a player or players there .

Nice try .you get one unco point for missing .

This is the most hilarious retort ive seen. Yes there are many players on the field, but half are opposition players. So if passes are innacurate they cause turnovers which are not considered an effective pass

Try again

I have to agree LOL.
But Crap does make an interesting point about the "hat racks".
I think i'll expand on that a bit.

A flogby playing field is 100m x 68m at 6800m2.
That's a whopping 262m2 of field for each of the 26 players.
But,
When you consider that the game is mostly played in a linear fashion 10m either side of where the ball is, shuffling up and down the field, that figure reduces to 52.3m2.
About quarter of a tennis court.
This is being generous when you think that the players aren't scattered about in this area, they are in a line a few meters apart.
You could literally shut your eyes and still hit a teammates chest.

Now,
In AFL the playing field varies, they can range from 135m-185m long and 110m-155m wide.
For arguments sake we'll look at the MCG.
171m x 146m at 19608m2 (i had to triple check my math on this one, seemed too large)
Virtually three times the playing surface.
Now,
sit down Crap.
That is a mind boggling 545m2 of field for each of the 36 players. 1090m2 for a pair of opponents.
More than double Flogbys' measly 262m2
And 10 times that of what the flogby lads mainly range within.

But when you consider the modern AFL playing style.
Where most players are within 100m of the ball that 545m2 come down to 218m2.
About the size of a full tennis court.
But you must also consider that each player has a direct opponent, so that rises to 436m2 for a pair of opponents.
That's the size of 2 full tennis courts.
8 times the Flogby lads

No wonder laser accuracy is required. That's a huge space to cover for one player and his opponent.

There goes your "hardly any" bullshit Crap.

The kickers in our game would miss a goal from in front maybe once or twice every couple of seasons. It's a regular occurrence in your game and there punt kicking the ball. They cant use exhaustion as an excuse because there rested every few minutes. In an attempt to make the game a bit more interesting they are awarded point's if they 'neeerly' kick a goal :hmm: So for trying hard your rewarded with points Isn't that a bit juvenile?

there are 22 players on an AFL team. If each is rested every few minutes how many interchanges would that make in a game Pussy? :hmm:

Let's see.........22 rested every 3 minutes, so each player would be rested 10 times a quarter. 4 quarters means each player would be rested 40 times a game. 40 x 22 = 880 interchanges.

You sure this is correct pussy? Seems a bit off (almost to the power of 10)
