Mate you can try to turn the facts around as much as you like.
But at the end of the day there is no skill being able to drop the ball as much as you like and have 3 goals without crossbars to take shots at
The penalty is you are beaten by your opponent!
If players drop the ball they lose possession and the opposition can score.
If they miss the goals they score less and the opposition can score more
The game play ensures poor skill is penalised
Why does'nt AFL get rid of the two side goals and add a crossbar? There is no sense in rewarding missed shots at goal. Which is what AFL clearly does.
it's a unique part of the game, like many different sports have unique aspects. It isnt even seen as a reward because most defences are happy to concede a point to ensure a goal isnt scored. If two teams have 20 shots at goal for the game the team who is more accurate will win every time. Scoring 1 point is not the answer to winning the game
This is why you fools in Southern States are the only football code to get scores in the hundreds.
Because there is no skill in scoring when the goals are so big lol... :(/
Yes it's higher scoring. I'd prefer that to watching a 30 - 0 final like the storm won last year

Rugby League is like a game of chess>

AFL is like seagulls fighting over a chip

(I think the AFL is really lacking in good players)
to many players that should not be at the high level>>
the quality sucks and is highlighted many of times.

to many average players...

(I do also think the quality in week to week footy in codes in Australia can be very average at times)
if RL is chess it's pieces are all the same: run straight into a tackle, fall over, get up, throw the ball, and repeat.............

There is very little 1 on 1 contesting for possession. It's dreadfully 1 dimensional

AFL, soccer, hockey, ice hockey, basketball, netball, gaelic football, hurling etc all have opponents playing directly against each other contesting for possession. This causes turnovers, fumbles, drops, misses, mistakes etc.

The rugby codes are the only ones where the majority of passing is basically undefended with no immediate opponent to beat for possession. Yet RL fans crow about how their players dont make ball handling mistakes

RL has preschool level passing, and any threat of losing the ball results in a blind run into a tackle where they get possession of the ball back again! It's horrendously boring to watch, and involves very little ball handling skills at all

Most of those AFL 60 metre kicks are a joke man, they would be well below a crossbar in rugby and gridiron codes.

AFL skill   :drunk: :drunk:

Is like saying yeah I scored a long distance goal because there were no side bars :(/ :(/
again you didnt answer the question. Do you think a 5m throw goes the same speed as a 60m kick?
Well that is all depending on who is passing the ball. But 60 metre kicks are done all the time in NRL too.

The only difference is we don't give players a free kick at 3 goals just because some caught the ball when kicked lol.
Hey laugh!
When you say "all the time in NRL too".
Do you mean dozens of times per game like there is in AFL?

Most of your guys can't even catch a 60 metre kick. That is why you give someone a free shot at goal when they do.

It is like it is some kind of miracle that someone has caught the ball lol.. And tgen you have 3 goals in a row with no crossbar.

How could anyone miss a goal.in AFL??? A two year old could score in your game.

No wonder no Chinese turned up at your Shanghai exhibition game :(/ :(/

Running blindly, yeah that is what you calls seagulls chasing a chip. Pretty much all a game of AFL is.

AFL a sport so backwards that even the ball is thrown in backwards

But wait, you can drop the ball as much as you like and they will give you a point even when you miss a shot at goal. =D =D

But you cant keep the ball after being tackled then retain possession, like in RL. We also dont set up for fake plays like scrums

Bugger the complex, how about just outright inferior.
So inferior that the biggest news paper in the land today has over 21 fantastically entertaining and informative full pages on AFL.
So after getting my fix in AFL I wanted to flick over and see what happened in the National Flogby League.
Nothing, no stories, no columns, no pictures.
But then I found it.
Just after the classifieds, in the general sport results with the other amateur Sports in the smallest print.
A list of results.
Wow!
That is about as inferior as it gets!
