So If is Sydney doesn't rebuild the 2 new stadiums>>

we are to be stuck with one stadium that is oval shaped>>
parts of ground 30-60 meters away from the actual field>>
and AFL FOLK wonder why Olympic Park gets horrible crowds>> have u seen the viewing angles of the stadium>

and SFS in decay.. left to rot..

even knowing there is 200 Events at these 2 stadiums per year and to increase>>

logic would tell you, something needs to be done.

there are parts of the ground where the view looks fine for fans, yet for most games they dont fill.

yes, a shot of empty stands despite decent viewing. Yes, the ends are poor viewing but the sides dont fill either, so making all areas better viewing wont solve the issue

the question is whether it's worth upgrading stadia in Sydney for 2bil when attendance at multiple stadia in Sydney is well within existing capacity.

It is not about capacity>>

its about technology, game day experience, better equipped with more facilities and resourced.

better designed stadiums>

the stadium was designed for the Olympics not rectangle games and concerts and events.

A Report has come out>>

that it is more cost effective to rebuild the Stadiums than renovate the entire stadiums>>

THE PERTH STADIUM WILL BE LUCKY TO HAVE 30 games of sport in the precinct next year>>

while OLYMPIC PK AND SFS will have over 200>>>

It's shame they can't disassemble ANZ and plonk it in Melbourne. Would get more use there.

It appears the Government is starting to feel pressure on this issue.
Stadiums rebuild controversy: Foley rebuffs NRL boss on plans
Anna Caldwell, The Daily Telegraph
December 15, 2017 12:00am

NRL boss Todd Greenberg’s attempt bid to convince Labor to commit to the government’s plans to rebuild the state’s two major stadiums has been rebuffed by leader Luke Foley.

The Daily Telegraph has learned Mr Greenberg met Mr Foley yesterday to discuss the NRL’s calls for Labor to back in two new stadiums for the state.

During what was described as a “cordial” 30 minutes, Mr Greenberg told Mr Foley new stadiums were vital to secure the future of the NRL in NSW but the Labor leader “would not budge”, one source said.

A number of cabinet ministers have privately told The Daily Telegraph the issue of the stadium spend is biting in their electorates in a way no other policy has for the Baird or Berejiklian governments.

Ahhhhhhhh.....the good 'ol beatup loolololololololololol. Once again his raging bias takes hold and he highlights only half an article. What a surprise lolololololololololol. Below are the parts he left out:

However, one minister said the backlash was already dying down and there was a broad consensus the heat would be gone after Christmas.
Mr Perrottet said the government was making record investment in schools and hospitals and the stadiums spend should be seen in that context.

So there ya have it. The voice of reason has once again spoken and delivered the full story - not the biased view of raging zealots. Folk here can make up their own mind but my opinion is that there is not a chance in hell that Luke Foley will beat Gladys at the next election. Result: New stadiums for RL, soccer and RU and beatup and his mates will be having kicking, screaming meltdowns lolololololololololol. Poor buggers.
