Sounds like sabotage.
Who decides the schedule?
Is it the same amateurs that do the NRL?
That would explain it......
Where's it being played?
Don't tell me it's being played next to Adelaide oval.

The Rugby League International Federation
The Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) is the global governing body for the sport of rugby league football. The RLIF is responsible for the Laws of the Game, the development, organisation and governance of rugby leagues internationally, and for the sport's major international tournaments;

Its one of the stupidest schedule match ups I have come across in sport in Australia.

Final is being played in Brisbane>>

Diabolical scheduling for viewership.
But not playing it in NSW is a master stroke.
At least there will be the possibility of a decent crowd on hand.
We all know how much NSWelshmen love to go to games.

It seems NSW has been almost totally snubbed by the RLWC.
Out of 28 games they gave 2 to Sydney.
The undisputed home of RL in this country got 2 games. Neither a final and both featured Lebanon. No offence. 2 games, 3 different teams. (Is there a large Lebanese community in Sydney?)
Qld on the other hand got 8, including the final.
Fuck even Melbourne got 2.

There's probably some "reason" for this but I think it casts a huge stain on the state of the game in NSW.

Yep it was snubbed Alright>> not just Sydney> but the whole of NSW
the organisers said they wanted to spread the game to areas that do not see much R.L

but Newcastle and Sydney should of had a final at least..

games in Cairns and Townsville were played in such hot conditions (very stupid)

yeah there is a fairly decent size Lebanese community in the Bankstown / Canterbury districts

Did you see the nrlols crowds this season
I’d say even Sydney are getting jack of league
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Afl doesn’t have a World Cup. It’s a domestic game only.

We sure will.
But we should remember RLWC is quadrennial. And the AFL has no SOO anymore.
So the AFL is at a massive disadvantage. One comp vs three.

2017 NRL+SOO+RLWC crowds divided by number of games =
2017 AFL crowds divided by number of games =

I honestly don't know where this one will end up.
It could be a close one.
I wait in anticipation.
