in another great thing in Rugby League (outside of H & A Season )

The Rugby League World Club Challenge is heading to Australia for only the third time in history with the NRL on Tuesday morning confirming the February fixture.

The 2017 Telstra Premiership winners, the Melbourne Storm, will host English Super League champions Leeds Rhinos on February 16 at Melbourne's AAMI Park in what will be a first for the sporting city to host the historic event.

It was also announced this morning the match will be broadcast live on Nine in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and simulcast nationally on Fox Sports.

Looking forward to Saturdays game. The Pommys play a bit more of an attacking style which should be suited to the Aussie conditions. Will be interesting to see what the crowd & ratings are.

Super League have VIsion I like it >>

Super League will be an international competition in five years’ time,” Lenagan said.
β€œI believe at that time, as well as the English clubs, we’ll have Toulouse, we’ll have Perpignan, we’ll have Toronto, we’ll probably have New York within that time scale.
β€œThe Super League is doing a lot of innovative things to take the game forward. The 12 clubs are working tremendously well together, that’s how we got permission to do this [Wollongong game].”

2 extra teams from France into super league / 2nd tier championship would be great

Crowd and tv ratings were a total embarrassment. Just 21,000 viewers nationwide. Oh dear

It was'nt even shown on free to air and between two overseas clubs lol..
How many viewers would an AFL game game get in England? You would be lucky to get a few hundred.

Australians are clearly not interested in Super League on Tour. Crowd and tv ratings demonstrate that fact is clear.
