The mud will stick.
I'm suprised Hayne didn't disclose this to Parramatta prior to signing up.
I bet he was gaging to sign up before it came to light.

I'm even more suprised Parramatta didn't cover their arse in his contact.
They'll be kicking themselves now.
A massive investment in a rapidly depreciating asset. Ouch!
He owes them big time. Best put some effort in.

NO MEANS NO,
unless you're Jarryd Hayne or the NRL.
The slimy ***** fails at NFL so he slinks back to the NRL. Who the fuck would sign this piece of shit?
Having Hayne as the new poster boy will definately attract more women to sign up and go to matches.
I'll monitor the club's numbers closely.
The poster could read -
"NO MEANS YES" the Hayne way! [-X

Victoria Police are investigating a player from the Melbourne football club over an alleged sexual assault that occurred in Bali in September.

A Melbourne woman made the complaint to police.

The Demons confirmed to The Age that they were aware the police had received a report of the alleged incident, however no charges have been laid.

Melbourne informed the AFL's integrity unit of the allegation as soon as they became aware of it, as part of the AFL's new respect and responsibility complaints process that was introduced in October.

In this case the issue was considered serious enough to be immediately referred to Victoria Police.

The AFL referred the matter to Victoria Police.

Melbourne were tight-lipped about the details of the incident but provided a statement to Fairfax Mediain relation to the allegation.

"The Melbourne Football Club is aware of allegations involved with the player and the club has referred the matter to the AFL Integrity Unit," the statement said.

"The Melbourne Football Club will fully co-operate with the process and while this is undertaken the club will make no further comment in response to the matter."

The accused player has not been named but Melbourne informed staff on Thursday that an investigation was taking place.

Police confirmed that they received a report in October about an alleged sexual offence in Bali and had spoken to the complainant as a result.

In a statement, police said the complainant had not so far made a formal statement.

"On October 2 Victoria Police received a report about an alleged sexual offence that occurred in Bali in September this year," the statement said.

"Police have spoken to the complainant however the complainant has not engaged investigators further...

"The complainant was also advised that primacy of the investigation would sit with Indonesian authorities. "

"Victoria Police's priority is the victim's safety and welfare," police said. "They are always in control of what happens next.

"The reality is that some victims come to us to have their story heard but they may not want to go through the process of the court case.

"We want victims to receive the assistance they deserve, whether that be from us or support services."

An AFL spokesperson said that "out of respect to all parties involved, the AFL won't be making any comment."

The AFL Players' Association, which was aware of the allegation and working with relevant parties to ensure the correct process was followed, released a short statement.

"We are aware of the allegation and have made our services available to the player. It's important the correct process is followed, therefore we won't be making any further comment at this point."

Melbourne have begun their Christmas break and had their final training session for the season on Wednesday.

Sport, what's up bro? Why you bring in the Jarryd Hayne issue? Are you confused? This thread is clearly about instances where people have been found guilty.

Now , I'm happy to discuss the tragedy that is Jarryd Hayne, I wish the eels never signed him back up! But this matter clearly doesn't fit this thread.

Perhaps you could step up and start a thread of ur own sport? Don't ya think? Be a big boy and make a thread? there's a lad

One of the threads of the year .
Anything that highlights the problems that this abortion of a sport has is doing a great community service .
Contrary to what the brainwashed masses believe this sport is far from the moral champions they like to portray .
The simple fact that when it was exposed with the afl official ..Gill the dill gives a wink & a nod & lets it be known ..we will have you back ..down the track a bit .

& sure as a Aflol star will fumble an easy catch ..the afl official waltzs back in .
Disgusting sport .

Great thread .
Great expose of the realities of afl .

Would read again .

Looks like the tried & true AFLOl hush money method has worked again to keep a sexual assault victim quiet .

What a disgusting sport in its treatment of women .
It has a long history of paying $$$$ to shut women up .

I've yet to see any examples of other major sports doing te same .

AFL won’t say if integrity unit interviewed alleged sex harassment victim

STEPHEN DRILL, Herald Sun
April 14, 2018 9:12pm

THE AFL is refusing to say whether its integrity unit interviewed the alleged victim of a Fremantle Dockers sexual harassment complaint.

The woman who made the complaint against the Dockers official has been unable to speak publicly, amid claims she received a compensation payment.

The league said it had closed the investigation but refused to answer questions about whether an alleged payment had interfered with the probe.

The Dockers issued their first statement on the matter on Saturday, with chief executive Steve Rosich saying it was a “workplace matter that has been resolved” and it would be inappropriate to comment further to protect the parties’ privacy.

Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said the report had not had an impact on his players, who were valiant but ultimately outclassed in a 31-point defeat by the Greater Western Sydney Giants on Saturday.

“It’s not something we spoke about,” Lyon said.

“I’m certainly aware of that (the report) and I’m aware that the club and the AFL have released a statement.

“The whole club will reference that statement and no one’s in a position to comment any further.”

Carolyn Worth, manager of the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault, said she was concerned about the way the AFL had handled the matter.

“Payments to keep people quiet are unacceptable,” she said.

“The AFL used to do that but I don’t think getting people to sign a nondisclosure agreement is a good way for your organisation to go.

“It doesn’t go with their corporate image that they are trying to be family friendly.”

Ms Worth, who had a meeting with an AFL representative about its respect and responsibility policy two weeks ago, said the league needed to be open about complaints.

“The AFL needs to have transparent processes to deal with complaints about sexual assault and sexual harassment,” she said.

And she questioned whether a nondisclosure agreement would even be legally valid.

The Sunday Herald Sun broke the story of the sexual harassment scandal in December.

At the time, the league said there was a complaint.

But it only said the matter was closed after the Herald Sun published a follow-up story.

The AFL declined to comment.

Lordy Lordy. This sort of vile action needs more exposure. It's shameful shameful stuff to see the afl may well be using their tv rights wealth to put a muzzle order on women who've been abused [-X

It certainly doesn't fit with their family friendly pro women image they spin week in week out [-X [-X

How disgusting is Gill & his disgusting cronies

Condoning hush money .

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan says the league has no problems with hush money being paid to sexual harassment victims as long as it helps resolve the issue:

Translation: if we can make the problem go away without any headlines or bad media we will .
We don't care about the female victims ....it's all about the "IMAGE"

Most disgusting immoral sport in Aust ...by a long long way .

im not defending his actions, I think what he said was poor. But he isnt the sport, he's a caretaker. It's like me saying RL is the most misguided sport in Australia because the leadership has no idea how to manage. The sport isnt the issue, the leadership is
