AFL fans, Gridiron is professional in two nations not one like Aussie Rules..

Post by NRL&NFLweLaughATafl »

So many AFL fans think NFL is the name of the actual sport in America.
Here is a little education. The sport is called Gridiron and it has a professional league in Canada as well as the USA.
So unlike Aussie rules, the sport is in two countries not one.

Is Canadian gridiron the same as American gridiron or are the rules and field and playing numbers different ?

the canadian version of the game is not the same as the american.

The point is, a game does not have to be international to be important. Being international isnt the aim of the fans of every sport. America are perfectly fine with gridiron being essentially their unique game, as are AFL fans with their indigenous game

I think AFL fans would love to see a rivalry of AUSTRALIA V ENGLAND

just like in Cricket, Union, League

they are all great clashes... something that is missed after club football land..

you dont miss what you dont have. Im perfectly fine with the AFL the way it is. We have a great national competition which would overshadow any international contests even if there were any

No you just try to create interest in China, and introduce a wildcard to maintain some interest at home.

Haven't your mob already gave England a try? Was that game a sellout also?

The China games are to increase interest in AFL for the many Chinese living in Australia.

Lol
I've already asked a question relating to this absurd theory .
No fumbler answered .
When RL took a SOO to the USA did it increase the interest in RL of the U.S. Expats living here .
Lol no
Why would they give a shit about a sport playing a game in their old country ....it is mind boggling the things that fumble fans come up with .

So a Chinese person living in Aust that has already seen afl on the news .read about it ..
Prob been asked about it ...& shown no interest. Will suddenly be interested because a game was played in CHINA .
No joking
What fucking planet are you on .

Yes nice place
Very strange people .
The cult like thinking is worrying .

So if I moved to China & then heard a Chinese basketball team had been to play or a table tennis. Match had been played in Aust would I suddenly want to watch either sport just because of of a ten playing in Aust .
I'm serious ....how fucking strange are these people.

" And you guys need Origin to maintain any kind of lead over the AFL. Origin is in effect, an exhibition match in its own right."
So if we take out NZ ratings and do away with rep football you you thing you might be a chance of knocking us off?

Pussy ... if you are arguing superiority of a code on this country based on ratings ... why would you include nz ratings. Serious question.
