Pussy ... you first need to grasp the concept of what a sell out is. A sell out does not equate to it always being full.

I'd say Fred is almost right on this one. And yes that's a first. They sold 6k tickets to the poor silly Port and Suns fans and gave away 4k to the locals who didn't turn up, thus the empty stands. But at the end of the day they announce a crowd of 10k going on ticket sales/giveaways not actual attendance. This is fumbleball propaganda 101 and the fumbling zealots fall for it every time. Sad......and embarrassing really.

So going by Fred logic .
If the Melb storm said we are only going to sell 15 k tickets to storm games ( in a30 k stadium .)
Then they can claim a SELL OUT very game .

How can you not see the utter moronic thinking of doing that .

& fumblers still can't se why they're laughed at .

Oh wow. Okay, if all available seats that can be sold are sold ... so you f the storm ground say was being refurbished and therefore only half the seats were available for sale... and they sold every available seat ... then it would be "sold out". If they gave away every seat but 1000 and sold the other thousand .... and I'm standing in line to buy a ticket but the person in front of me buys the last available ticket ....,the cashier would say.... sorry ... no more tickets left for sale ... all the tickets are sold out .... the game is a sell out .

Or.... if the storm go to a place and play a game in a 5000 seat stadium and there are only 3000 seats allocated to the public to buy as lots of freebies were given out to local businesses to promote the game ... and all those tickets were sold ... you would advertise that there were no more tickets available as the game is sold out.

All available tickets sold ...= sold out .

Lol .
Just lol.
According to your propaganda minister the place was full
Gill the dill
Says that the empty sections were due to people getting something to eat & drink during the game
Geez they mustn't have had anything for days ..they spent the whole game getting food .

That's a long way to go to get a feed .
So many lols with this .
& it gets better with Fred Trying to explain it while the afl boss says different .

I don't know if I can explain it any simpler so will leave it at that re what a sell out is.

Gill saying it was full is something totally different and we should be careful not to confuse the two. On observation and from a comment from a suns supporter who was there I would agree it was not full or even close to. From his comment (person there) there weren't too many Chinese there either ... no where near what was quoted. Maybe Terry is right in that they claimed all tickets given away.

We all know what a sell out is Fred. And we all know what bullshit is. You've seen the stadium pictures. best case scenario the stadium was half full. The AFL announced the game was a sell out - 10 thousand ticket had been sold. They even went so far as to announced that Port Adelaide had recouped it $4m outlay. So who's bullshitting who?

No... I don't think you do.

I have heard that port actually made a profit. Tourism Australia chipped in 1 million to the costs and port apparently gained a sponsor.

Oh my you really are thick as a fucking two by four .

By limiting the number of tickets to well well below the stadium capacity it is easy to scream SELL OUT .
How can you not understand how much that reeks of .bullshit .

Im not sure you grasp the most common logic, you seen the crowd . There's is no way the ground was half full and despite the camera man panning to the Chinese in the crowd every chance he got. You could see from a few full crowd shots that the majority wer'nt Chinese.

The game was a F....en embarrassment - a disgrace. Next time some bright spark at AFL headquarters wants to try to promote the game overseas take it to North Korea.
the ground was 80-90% full. A port fan on BF went and said it was too hot in the sun for many people so they stood in the hospitality tents.

No one expected the game to be a raging success.

But but but. Those pictures clearly show the ground was less than half full. So where were the other half standing ? I actually watched the first 10 mins of the fumbleathon and the stadium was just as empty at the start as it was at the end. How typical of the AFL to announce the game as a sell out. Typical typical corrupt bullshit organisation.
the AFL claimed the game was a sellout in March. Why would they do that if it wasnt, given people interested in getting a ticket would be turned away?

And these pictures show far from half empty stands

Okay then ... you finally get it. If there are 5000 seats for sale in a 10000 seat stadium and 5000 seats are sold then it is a sell out. It took you a while but you finally got there. Well done.
