KE for being an utter dickhead. OK I agree our lot have been a bit more extreme on here, but I'd say the lot on LU are way worse than BF

Good on ya for honesty pal. I'm not sure what LU and BF are but at last you've spoken some sense.

Wonderful OP firstly.
Sadly I feel the heads at the NRL are in a bind as there's only so many ways you can dress up a turd.
They've tried everything to be relevant but failed.
Simply gets back to the product and with only a few small pockets of the country that care about the 'sport' they need to focus on staying ahead of netball rather than pretending to take on the big players.

Men want to be AFL players, girls want to be with AFL players.
NRL on the other hand was once claimed as a worthy rival of The AFL. They had a stronghold in NSW and Qld and had good tv audiences. Over the last 20'years they have slipped from a rival into a laughing stock as failed League splits, failed expansion and a crap product turned crowds away to the point where the AFL has stolen the hearts and minds of the locals in League heartland.
With soccer also making inroads I ask the question what can be done to save rugby league from becoming an amateur sport?
I think they need to start by reducing the number of teams to ensure that everyone playing at the elite level is actually a talented athlete as the skill level of the sport is currently non existent
LOL AFL ALREADY IS A 3RD TIER SPORT.
A first tier sport would not have.
FAILED EXHIBITION MATCHES IS NEW ZEALAND
AN INTERNATIONAL CUP WITH NO TV COVERAGE AND NO CROWDS
BOUGHT PLAYERS FROM OTHER CODES LEAVING MID CONTRACT BECAUSE THE SPORT IS SO SHIT LOL...
ISRAEL FOLAU
MULTIPLE PREMIERSHIP CLUB BRISBANE LIONS DISAPPEARING INTO OBSCURITY BEHIND THE BRISBANE BRONCOS.
AFL COVERAGE CANNED FROM 7HD IN NSW DUE TO POOR RATINGS
INTERNATIONAL RULES GAMES AGAINST IRELAND DUE TO NO OTHER COUNTRY CARING ENOUGH ABOUT AFL TO BE COMPETITIVE.
ONE POINT GIVEN WHEN YOU MISS A GOAL.
AFL - The laughing stock of the world
