A second NRL team would have no trouble in Brisbane, and would probably put the Lions out of their misery lolNlolRL wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2017 10:28 amWell the giants are a very new SECOND expansion team in Sydney, so of course they will take time to get support. Most people who follow AFL in Sydney will have already joined allegiances with the Swans. Imagine if you introduced a brand new team into Brisbane. Who would follow it given the Broncos have the following of the vast majority.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2017 10:12 amYou said GWS is getting better crowds than Sydney FC which is simply a load of bullshit. Just like everything else you mention. Is not my fault your digging your own hole and looking like a halfwit
Now what's AFLs excuse for slashing their promotion budget by 1 million dollars in NSW this year?
I guess you can't sell a pile of shit so why waste money. Which is very much the case for AFL. Being the number 4 football code in NSW.
As for AFL being the 4th sport in NSW, the Swans have the highest membership numbers and largest crowd average of every sporting club in Sydney. Meanwhile the Storm have lower membership numbers and crowd averages than every AFL team and the Victory in Melbourne
The Swans are just a relocation club from Melbourne with a hundred plus years of history. No big feat.
Meanwhile AFL can't even get a team out of one small populated country
