How can AFL have structured play when it does'nt matter if you drop the ball?
AFL is about as structured as a 5 year olds soccer game :(/
what has dropping the ball got to do with structure? :hmm:

If the game has no structure why does it have multiple positions for specific sized players who play directly against each other?
If you can't even catch a ball, which is the case with most AFL players.
How do you expect to do structured plays?

AFL can have all the player positions they want. There is still about as much game plan a kindergarten soccer.

There is'nt even a strict boundary line in AFL. Anything to enhance the massive amount of poor skills in the game.

Shows a lack of understanding about the game.

Soccer is very structured?

Rl is definetely a more structured game ... a bit like chess I think. Afl certainly has structures however more variability as it has a continuous flow and each possession by a team is about getting a goal in that play whereas in rl you seem to be setting up field position ... with not every set of 7? Necessarily about scoring in that set. Correct me if I am wrong however it's just my limited understanding of the game that is continuing to grow.

I think when you start to realise they are two completely different games... nothing alike, you may (or may not) understand it a bit more. I think these arguement from some rl people stem from the rl v ru arguement a of old when the compeyeted as to which was better. This makes sense as the games are comparable whereas rl and Australia. Rules are not.

hmmm, the very premise of your argument is incorrect from the get go. Catching a pass by foot is a huge advantage. Failing to catch the ball results in no advantage. Therefore teams setup their forward lines to maximise their chances of marking the ball, and defences are set to defend it.

RL needs a specific rule to penalise dropping the ball. Your small passes are so easy and never directly defended. It must be the easiest ball movement game in world sport

Mate every single oval football code penalises dropping the ball except AFL. Now what does that say about how poor AFL skills are?

Not only that, every single other football codes does not reward a point if you miss a shot at goal.

The sport of AFL will never gain any real respect with so many rules that reward mistakes.

LOL There are only 4 oval ball sports and they are all different in their own ways. At least Gridiron and Aussie Rules have players playing directly adjacent to each other. This makes passing and catching far more challenging that the rugby codes, where uncontested passing is so basic it's hilarious.

Gridiron has way more similarities to league than AFL.

Both have line breaks
Both penalise drop balls
Both have virtually the same field marking and rectangular style stadiums.
Both have conversion kicks
Even the cross bar goals are virtually the same.

AFL is more like Gaelic football if anything.

yet Gridiron has player on player, demanding more accuracy from passing and more skill from receivers. RL fails in this regard which makes it a skill-less boring spectacle. No wonder crowds are so poor

Well there is not even a need for accuracy in AFL when you can drop the ball constantly and get a point for a missed goal.

No wonder every single country rejects AFL.

They can't even get a people to turn up in China after a years promotion.

again with the misconceptions. There IS a need to catch the ball because if you do you get a set shot. Really, have you watched the game?

There IS a need to kick straight. Just ask Richmond who played better and had far more scoring shots last night yet scores were level with a few minutes to play because Essendon kicked more accurately for goal.

As for China, when the NRL schedule a game there you can talk

Why would we need to schedule a game in China
People don't watch there ..they spend all game eating food out the back .

Also we play games in other countries ..we have comps in other countries
We have teams from other countries in our comps .

Lol the outright rampant stupidity of a fumblefan having a shot at RL for not playing a game on China

Oh & I forgot the most important thing
Let me see if I got this right .

The NRL should play a game in China because the Chinese community in Austt will suddenly start following the sport because a game was played in their former homeland .

:(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
Any Rl fan who tried to claim that would be laughed at .
Yet that's exactly what the braindead fumblers think .

Words cannot describe the utter utter stupidity of that thinking .
