Thought you'd learnt your lesson Terry?
Anyway,....... care to tell me how I was backing up any claims ? Should be interesting. or is this just your obsession? Thought you had stopped this as I noted you have stopped commenting on everything I write lol. Or had you been resisting and just couldn't hold it anymore.
Do you think of me when not in here ?
Now there's plenty there don't let me down. I'll cross them off as you go. Come on my little puppet ... dance . Can I call you that ... as my sign of affection ... my little nickname for you ???

So you just ignored the article I postedFred wrote: βTue Aug 29, 2017 1:53 pmAre afl clubs really relying more and more on poker Machine money or is it a part of their overall revenue stream? When you consider gate receipts, membership, merchandise, and Rv rights revenue... I would think that makes up a significant part as well. If the poker machine/pub money stopped tomorrow, whilst a financial hit would it be a critical blow to the club? These are questions rather than statements and happy to have figures put to me to form an opinion.
Cheers
Lol

Re: North Sydney Bears Takeover Bid
YES BACK ON TRACK
(THE SALE COULD BE DONE BY END OF YEAR)
NRL to begin formal discussions on sale of Gold Coast Titans
The North Sydney Bears will also hold talks with the NRL and have the most financial clout, although their plan to change the name and colours of the club will be a tough sell
The Bears held an βinformation sessionβ with members last week and are ready to outline their plans to the NRL, which include taking one game a season to North Sydney Oval.
(SO FAR THERE ARE 3 SOLID PARTIES INTERESTED)

Re: North Sydney Bears Takeover Bid
The NRL need to email all current Titans members and ask them if they would renew their membership if the club changes its moniker and colours and plays a couple of home games a year at NSO.
If the answer is a resounding no the Bears may as well give up now.

Re: North Sydney Bears Takeover Bid
yeah good point, if they could get majority of support for the idea..
from supporters on the Gold Coast>> the NRL would most likely give the go ahead.
I am hoping the NRL cover all bases..
I don't really want that David Kelly Owning the club>>
the Leadership and direction have not really went anywhere with him>>
(more news to come)

Re: North Sydney Bears Takeover Bid
Look at all the AFL fans trying to discount the idea knowing that a large part of Sydney would have a NRL team to support again as well as the Gold Coast.leagueiscrap wrote: βSat Aug 26, 2017 3:11 pmLol The bears were scrapped because they didn't have many fans! Less that the usual nrlol club amountNRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: βSat Aug 26, 2017 2:20 pmThis whole thing is starting to gain a lot of momentum. I thought no way at first.
But is starting to seem more and more likely. Would bring a lot of old rugby league fans who supported the bears back into the NRL. As heritage home games would be played at North Sydney oval.
Has been years since the North Shore had a rugby league team
Would be a strong club being in the Gold Coast, and North Shore together.
Norths were like Souths, a much loved heritage club.

Re: North Sydney Bears Takeover Bid
I am pretty sure there would be a lot of strong contractual agreements for them to remain on the Gold Coast if they take over.Fred wrote: βSat Aug 26, 2017 3:55 pmI will say it again, the Bears taking over the Gold Coast titans will see the end of there being a rl team on the Gold Coast. It's already fragile as it is re support, taking away a local identity and sense of ownership from the locals, who are as fickle as they come, would be a disaster.
Rl would still reign supreme no doubt about that, as most people follow rl just not the titans, so I wonder if the nrl really do need a club on the Gold Coast. Therefore if the bears take over I would suggest just move the team lock stock and barrel to the central coast. Want impact rl much I would reckon.
One thing is for sure, they would be one of the richest clubs in the NRL with Norths guaranteeing them.

That would be a bonus re money. I would say any name change to the bears and the club on the GC is dead.... then you will see a full move

Re: North Sydney Bears Takeover Bid
It will upset some of the locals at first. But will bring plenty of new fans and old ones back.
.
The Bears
- Have a very original look to any NRL club (Red & Black) unlike the Titans.
- Over a 100 years of history with plenty of expats from Sydney living on the Gold Coast.
- Experienced owners with a strong financial backing
- Support from 3 areas. Central Coast, North Shore, Gold Coast. Meaning more Sponsors and fans.
Are plenty of pluses.
