Yeah. I like the south warf but docklands itself is a wind blown concrete abyss. But others may like. No real right or wrong just different opinions.

you getting your grounds mixed up, how is a trip to etihad any colder than the MCG. on a cold winters night its awsome with the roof on

No ... Don't like it. The whole of dock lands is a wind blown waste land imo
Fred I think your wrong docklands is actually one of the booming areas of Melb and is still growing that's why the council they wanted to buy Edihad and tear it down to build more apartments
It’s booming but there is at the moment an oversupply of apartments with over inflated prices. If you look at the government future infrastructure planning thenold rail yards area known as E gate is in the works for some major development the massive up grade to the North Melbourne train station is only just the beginning of it

The location of the venue it self for the afl is almost priceless for the land it self especially over the coming decades
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

No the new Etihad Stadium deal is fine. What the clubs dont want is to lose the financial crutch they've had for a decade that was designed to compensate for the original deal being shit.

In the case of the Dogs and North the compensation for their stadium deals and poor administration has been paid to them since 2002 ffs and now they are just being fucking bitches - we're talking millions a year. St Kilda isnt much better.

This is the clubs now wanting both the better deal AND the compensation payments to continue even though the deal will have them 1 million a year better off. This is NOT how its supposed to be.

It seems too me the AFL are concerned they may not get the returns they first hoped for.

The AFL could have waited and paid $1 for it.
A whole stadium for a buck.
But grand plans don't like waiting.
I know what the NRL would've done given the same situation.

The nrlol wouldn’t have! Just stamp their feet and demand it for nothing! Then cry for government funding.
Then all the clubs would whinge that their home grounds need up dates as well with out contributing a cent

You're right. They need every buck, not many to spare.
