No, I addressed that. They were clearly NOT the same offence, Johns' was way worse. Add to that Johns was employed by the ARL/NRL, Eddie was not employed by the AFL

I never agreed with Eddie's comments but anyone with a brain can see he said it on air so it wasnt meant as an insult. He didnt call Goodes an ape, he suggested Goodes could promote the musical King Kong. He did this on air, which is the last place someone would hurl racist abuse. It was a very misguided insensitive joke, but certainly not meditated racial abuse
