Gee what a piss poor effort last night. The Aussies totally dominated. Great effort by some of the lesser known players in the AFL too. Good to see those who really do want to represent their country being rewarded with a stirring victory. Stroke of genius by Sheeds to go against running with the All-Australian team instead picking players that are most suited to the hybrid game. The Indigenous players in particular excelled.

Fantastic crowd in attendance too. Almost 40,000. Meanwhile the rugby league test in NZ has no crowd figure posted. Wonder why? Surely it couldn't be worse than the last crowd in Sydney last week (28,000). Laughing

For all the knockers of International Rules, it seems clear you're in the minority as most Australians and the Irish fully embrace the hybrid game. Now all we need is the Irish to get a bit more grunt in their game. They look like such pussies out there everytime they get tackled.

Can the paddies bounce back at the Telstra Dome next week?

well a good match but tbh we were ********e. mc grath currently you are a no hoper ******** off and do not coach us again.no support, we got played off the park,marking was horrific,the midfield was shut down from the start. Heres what you had better ********ing do before the next test: study the oz lineup, see how they played,marking,midfield every ********ing thing about them. if you can turn things around in melbourne then i may still show support but till then...go and ********ing analyse everything from the game from both teams and work on it you *****. couple oz players breached the rules, throwing a opposition player to the ground by their shirt is forbidden as well as a number of other things. oz fans booed and cheered everything without having any knowledge about what was happening throughout the course of the game, wot a uneducated lot you lot are.

well done to the Irish team at the end with their heads held up high, you made me ********ing proud to wear the colours and tears came to my eyes as you walked off proud. well done lads.

There there GC, you lot still have a chance to win the series. Just have to turn things around dramatically and defeat the Aussies by more than, is it 36pts? Good luck in Melbourne. Personally, I don't you paddies stand a chance. Laughing

Yes was disappointing from the irish lads. First time i've watched this sport and for me its mixed. I enjoy it but really get pissed off whenever the player goes for a 3 pointer when he could get a 6er. Just aggravates me. I'd love to know whats happened in previous years like who's won each year?

You're right beaussie the irish need more grunt, they just get belted out there in the tackles and bumps. But you've gotta admire them as far as i know they're amateurs and dont get paid for playing so it cant be easy to match up against the aussies who basically train full time during the week whereas the irish lads have got to work for a crust.
