Is anyone watching the IPL? I know channel ten's telecast is late, but does anyone get the feeling, that this over paid and over hyped "Bollywood" styled cricket is just a one trick pony 
Smashing sixes, daggy dancers, over the top outfits and non-stop noise from the crowd are growing tiring. Not to mention the ridiculous amounts of games that each team have to play.
I think this competition is too long, too loud, too extravagant, and too expensive. I find myself thinking that there must be thousands of everyday Indians wondering where all this money has come from to fund such a competition. Surely, these people would put this money to better use 
It seems that India is quick to promote and exhibit wealth, but do very little else for the needy of their society. |

I watched it when it first started but have lost interest. Wouldn't mind seeing more Twenty20 is Australia though.
Judging by the huge crowds for the IPL, the Indian people are loving it. |
