the AFL strategically schedule matches, for example. Suns v Swans is not going to rate that well if shown nationally in it's dedicated timeslot. Broncos don't play every TH and FR night. Have a look at pussycats list. The AFL dominate the top 10. Clearly this shows our individual games generally rate better.

They could have chosen Western Australia - they begged the AFL to take games there. that was later after they had committed to QLD as WA had shut them out, and West Coast and Fremantle were in hubs in QLD originally few weeks before things got even worse and the Comp had to move to QLD> WA has been ...

Could you imagine if the AFL had a origin where say Victoria played the rest of the country on a Sunday night how big those ratings would be if it was as passionate as the NRL state of origin is. The ratings would be like seriously 5-8million views. But the footy/AFL doesn't need that as the season ...
